The concept for StratAssemble was formed in 1994, and a proof-of-concept working prototype was built in 2001. In 2004, beta testing began with several companies that helped drive much of the usability testing and feature selection. The offices are located in beautiful Sonoma County on the Petaluma River.

Most recently StratAssemble Founder, AJ Wacaser, was the Web Development Manager at KnowledgePoint in Petaluma, CA. He helped guide development through the boom/bust dot com years and helped many small businesses with a suite of pay-per-use, on-demand HR productivity tools such as HRTools.com, JobDescription.com, PerformanceReview.com and PersonnelPolicy.com. These products are currently owned by Administaff. When HRTools.com launched in 1999, the site was selected as a Codie Award finalist.
AJ graduated from Augustana College, and earned a M.A. in Environmental Planning from the University of Illinois. AJ has over 15 years of public and private software experience in desktop and web development and has been project managing around the globe for many years.
StratAssemble is the result of his vision for a simple, open platform where every staff member can assemble, participate and contribute, and in the process revolutionize corporate communications and strategic planning.
